Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance TrustThe air ambulance service operates, weather permitting, 365 days a year out of Marden in Kent and Redhill in Surrey. This great charity effectively brings the emergency department to the patient and then takes them quickly and directly by land or air to the most appropriate hospital best able to treat their injuries.
Recent investment in new equipment and infrastructure has allowed operations to become available during the hours of darness as well as during daytime. The helicopters also now carry blood, allowing vital transfusions to be given as early as possible.
